“Mision Football is a training and training program for Colombian Atlantic football coaches. During 2022 and 2023, more than 600 Atlantic sports technicians have been trained, through a training methodology developed by OWW. Some of these coaches have the opportunity to travel to Spain and to know first hand the training and professional work of Spanish football.” The sports director of the Real Sociedad Deportiva Alcalá, Jorge Martín, was in charge of receiving them in Spain and welcoming them with a tour of the facilities and a talk about how the headquarters works, its structure, the guidelines, methodology and objectives of the club. “That a government like, in this case, the Atlantic and a president like your governor, Elsa Noguera, leads this type of international training calls us a lot of attention and is to be admired. It will always be important to train coaches to have better football players in the future. Here we are showing you what Spain did years ago and now we are collecting the fruits, you can get to teach and work in a different and better way,” Martín told the Atlantic coaches. The coordinator of ‘Mission Football’, Jordi González, highlighted the way the Atlantic coaches have integrated into the trainings of teams of minor divisions of the Alcalá RSD. “They have been able to work with the different teams, interact with the children in each of the categories, become part of the technical bodies, see how training models are, their intensity and the response of the boys. They are really learning too much,” said Jordi.
